Na him be the first Nobel Laureate from Africa Nobody for Naija  go talk sey dem no know Wole Soyinka Some pipul even talk sey na him be the most popular person for Naija . Today na him be our Sunday Uncommon Person, As usual for mama pidgin I no go write plenti tori about Wole Soyinka I go just write some few things wey you no know about wole soyinka.
1. Na 13 July  1934 him parent born am and name him as Akinwande Oluwole Soyinka

2.Right from small pikin wole Soyinka no dey take nonsence oo. Wole soyinka talk for him book sey na him enrole himself for school at the age of 2 and a half years, he just carry one of him papa book and follow his sister wey dey go school to class, and tell the teacher for inside the class sey he one become his student and  must teach am how to read.

3.He was Also a brilliant boy for school he attended Government College Ibadan where he won most of the award there. his mother is the Junior sister Fela Kuti papa so Fela is a cousin to Wole Soyinka.

4.In 1952 Wole Soyinka entered University college Ibadan at age 18 (now university of Ibadan) In University Wole Soyinka and seven others of his friend founded Pirate Confraternity, to fight justice and equality, Pipul dey dey carry rummor sey Wole Soyinka graduated with Third Class but in July this year Wole Soyin talk sey he graduated with Second Class Upper. He later traveled to Europe thereafter.

5. Wole Soyinka Early Life as a youth in Europe was hustling and bustling, he worked as a bar man, Bricklayer, worked at a cafe as a singer and guitar player in Paris. A militant dude, he also signed up for military service in Leeds, all this will later prepare him for future challenges


6. at age of 26 Wole Soyinka got a research grant from Rockerfeller Foundation to study African drama at University of Ibadan He was a lecturer at university of Ibadan a professor at OAU and UNILAG

7. Soyinka Na very good writer and him don write plenti Stories Drama, Short play, Essay, Poet and many more all in all he don write over 30 books (21 plays, 2 novels, 5 memoirs, one translation, countless poems and essays)


8. In 1886 He was awarded the Nobel Laureate in Literature the first African to get the Award

9. Soyinka na person wey no dey like to dey see the government  oppress the citizen oo right from the days of military government na soyinka don dey speak against bad leadership which some times will either land him in prison or in exile outside of the country.

 10. in November 1957 Soyinka marry his first wife Barbara (a oyinbo) who born one pikin for him. Barbara and Soyinka met while he was at Leeds, where he also later did his postgraduate studies and they had both finished with a Second Class Upper Division.



11. Soyinka was divorced  met his second wife former Miss Laide Idowu in 1963 for University of Ibadan They had four children, three females (Moremi was their first daughter) and one male

In 2011, the African Heritage Research Library and Cultural Centre built a writers' enclave in his honour. It is located in Adeyipo Village, Lagelu Local Government Area, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.
